About the role
The Municipal Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of municipal infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring timely completion of projects within budget constraints.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
- Prepare and present reports to city officials and stakeholders regarding project progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in municipal engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of municipal engineering practices and codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS).
- Understanding of environmental impact assessment processes.

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
