Municipal Engineer

About the role

The Municipal Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring timely completion of projects within budget constraints.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
• Prepare and present reports to city officials and stakeholders regarding project progress and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in municipal engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of municipal engineering practices and codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS).
• Understanding of environmental impact assessment processes.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
