Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs IV starts and administers contrast as required.
• Provides on-call coverage outside of standard hours as per department and facility policy.
• Inputs charges and required data for procedures and supplies used during exams.
• Completes necessary hospital and medical imaging paperwork for each exam performed.
• Maintains technical operation of equipment, notifies service when necessary, and logs service calls or problems per department procedure.
• Maintains a clean work area for employees and patients, ensuring quality checks and equipment maintenance documentation.
• Produces quality images accurately and promptly.
• Prepares patients for exams by providing information and instructions, and addressing their physical and emotional needs.
• Affixes to safety, adhering to radiation safety regulations to minimize exposure.
• Aids and positions patients during exams, observing and documenting any unusual occurrences.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv
• Associate (Preferred)
• Field Of Study N/A
• 1+ year of imaging experience

Skills

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
• Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography RT(VS)(ARRT))
• Registered Technologist - Sonography RT(S)(ARRT))

Pay Range $35.78 - $66.55
