Multimodality Technologist - Baylor
About the role
The CT, Mammography, or MRI Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Radiology and CT/Mammo/MRI Dual Registered Technologist performs high quality Radiology and CT/Mammo/MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician. Operates imaging equipment: Radiology and CT, Mammography, or MRI, following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Provides radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed. Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required. Avoids excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24-month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (i.e. military), AND be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.
- Work Experience: 2 years. Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24-month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (i.e. military), AND be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and CT, Mammography or MRI Tech. Certification is required in modality area post radiology certification. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Has 1year to obtain second modality. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
