Multimodality Technologist

About the role

This position will work four, 10-hour shifts per week from 8:00pm-6:30am in the main Imaging Department at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, but will be the assigned technologist to float and pick up shifts as needed at the Magnolia Emergency Care Center as well as the Spring Emergency Care Center performing CT and x-ray.

The Multimodality Technologist position is an experienced Technologist responsible for performing a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures with two or more specialty modalities of moderate to high complexity.

Responsibilities

The Multimodality Technologist position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of various radiology procedures.

This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations.

The Multimodality Technologist position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic procedures, delivering exceptional patient care, teamwork, and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiology procedures, proactively assessing and responding to patient needs, modifying technical factors to achieve desired imaging results, and providing direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
• Two years’ combined experience in more than one specialty modality
• Prior experience performing x-ray and CT is strongly preferred

Qualifications

• Required BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
• Must have one of the following: ARRT-MRI or ARRT-M or ARRT-CT

• Possesses basic computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems to include, Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software to maintain patient and exam documents
• Exhibits strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers

Schedule

This position will work four, 10-hour shifts per week from 8:00pm-6:30am and may be required to be on-call during emergencies.
