Multimodality Tech PRN Days FSED Lake Pleasant

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serves the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
• Aids physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures. All procedures are conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed.
• Aids physicians with procedures as needed.
• Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines. Answers patient questions and explains procedures.
• Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit.
• Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department's activities.
• Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.
• Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
• Participates in orientation, training, and inservice of staff, as needed.
• Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
• Maintains stock and inventory as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Associates Preferred.
• Experience: >10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one (1) year general radiology experience Required or 2 years experience in two or more modalities Preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Current and valid, ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program Required, Radiologic Technologist - License Certified Current and valid AZ CRT Licensure Required, ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification, Radiology Tech License Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT) Required, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Current and valid Basic Life Support Certification Required, Computed Tomography Preceptorship (CTP) - License If CT is secondary modality - CTP (Computed Tomography preceptor license) and achieve ARRT CT registry and AZ CTCT licensure within 1 year. Required, ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification If MRI is secondary modality - ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification/registry Required.
