About the role
WKBT, News 8 Now is seeking an experienced Multimedia Journalist to join our award-winning newsroom. This position is based in Eau Claire, WI, and covers the northern section of the DMA.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent news writing and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency with digital video cameras, commercial video editing software, and social media platforms.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. of gear and to sit, walk, or stand for long periods.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
Skills
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the northern section of the La Crosse/Eau Claire DMA and the ability to build strong relationships with newsmakers, politicians, and residents.
