JOB SUMMARY
The Multimedia Designer I, II, and Sr. are primarily responsible for creating design solutions for digital, video, web, and print projects assigned by the Art Director. They also assist in designing instructional and training content for LSI products and customers.

N/AESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Multimedia Designer I
- Maintain corporate branding and trademarks in all designs including product literature, video productions, electronic presentations, web content, and product packaging
- Design and implement updates to product packaging, labeling, marketing, and sales materials
- Learn medical device labeling standards and requirements
- Ensures design style consistency in labeling across all product families
- Provide design solutions for various departments and products
- Scan, edit, retouch, and manipulate images and photographs
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide input for creative concepts and design strategies
- Collaborate with other areas of expertise: Marketing, Sales, Engineering, doctors, and researchers
- Support CEO in all visual communication in various projects
- Document and maintain all individual tasks in a digital archive
- Contribute monthly to digital asset management tool via updates, tagging, and culling
Multimedia Designer II
- All essential functions above
- Develops new concepts and templates for video and animation
- Enforces proper use of trademarks across all visual communications
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical device labeling standards by maintaining consistency and accuracy of symbology on all product packaging
- Proficiency in file preparation for video production and web assets
- Responsible for shooting and/or editing video content to create finished pieces for in-house, client, and trade show presentations
- Creates advanced motion graphic design and finished video productions
Senior Multimedia Designer
- All essential functions above
- Advanced skills in video production including color grading, audio editing, and understanding codecs and export settings
- Responsible for creating design solutions from concept through final stages of design process
- Continuously refine, adapt, and create new workflows as project criteria change
- Mentor junior designers
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Multimedia Design or a design-related field is preferred.
- Multimedia Designer I: 1-3 years of professional design related experience
- Multimedia Designer II: Skills listed above with 4 or more years of professional design related experience
- Senior Multimedia Designer: Skills listed above with 7 or more years of professional design related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Multimedia Designer I: Strong foundational knowledge of typography, composition, design and layout
- Strong knowledge of Mac platform
- Basic knowledge of prepress and web design
- Basic knowledge of digital photography
- Basic knowledge of video capture and video editing
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro
- Understanding of novel, innovative uses of Artificial Intelligence and a proficiency in Adobe Firefly
- Adept with Keynote, Power Point, and Word
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic verbal and written communications skills
- Critical eye for detail and proofreading
- Able to shift from one project to another quickly
- Must be able to take direction, as well as work autonomously on projects
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to human and animal cadavers, handle aggressive timelines, and work with demanding personalities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently required to lift and/or carry from 1-5 lbs., occasionally 25-30 lbs.
- Frequently required to push and/or pull from 1-2 lbs., occasionally 10-20 lbs.
- Ability to periodically bend or kneel and use color vision/depth perception.
- Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, see color, handle/reach, perform repetitive motion.
