About the role

Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Multidisciplinary ICU Registered Nurse who is passionate about critical care and looking to grow their career.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Educates patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
  • Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engages in professional development activities.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individual patient care plans collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members and patients, families, or caregivers.
  • Proactively plans and communicates patient care plans across the healthcare continuum.
  • Affirms physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs through critical nursing assessments and evaluations.
  • Advises patients on their preferences and barriers to care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.

Requirements

  • One to two years of critical care experience preferred.
  • Accepts ADN/BSN/MSN candidates.
  • Full-time benefits eligibility.
  • Shift differentials for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Missouri.
  • Completion of a nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • One to two years of critical care experience.

Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of patient care standards and regulations.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time, 12-hour shifts with options for evening, weekend, and holiday differentials.
