Multicultural Services Student Lead (23/24) - FWS

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding or interest with human relations/diversity issues
• Commitment to learning about human relation issues
• General computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
• Ability to keep a data base
• Ability to research and compile data via the internet
• Create stats and graphs from data (posters)
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Recipient of a work-study grant with the ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
• Willingness to learn as they work

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to be a leader among their peers
• Prior experience working with first generation college students and their families
• Experience facilitating human relations/diversity training around a multitude of social identities
• Experience serving historically marginalized communities in the United States
• Belief that all students can succeed
• Ability to connect with all students and challenge them to be their best
• Empathy, love, and compassion for those you serve
• Expectation of nothing but the best from those you serve
• Customer service experience (a plus)

Work Schedule

Hours vary from 8am to 10pm with occasional weekends.
