About the role

The Multi-Store Manager supports the Area Manager and District Manager by overseeing a wide variety of duties across multiple self-storage locations. This role prioritizes sales, customer acquisition, vendor management, and overall store performance while fostering teamwork and collaboration. The Multi-Store Manager ensures assigned stores reflect brand expectations, including sales, collections, occupancy, customer experience, cleanliness, and facility operations.

A $1,500 retention bonus is available, paid in two installments after 720 and 1,440 hours of employment. Performance and attendance requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Exceed sales goals by promoting unit rentals, warranties, moving supplies, and securing positive reviews.
• Guide new customers through the rental process to ensure smooth transactions.
• Personally follow up with potential clients to confirm moving dates and secure storage units.
• Proactively manage past-due tenants and handle lien/auction paperwork efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service to meet and exceed client needs.
• Conduct daily property inspections to ensure security, cleanliness, and proper upkeep, including checking locks, cleaning units, restocking supplies, and performing light maintenance.
• Communicate results, updates, and recommendations clearly to leadership.
• Travel frequently to assigned locations for scheduled shifts and operational support.
• Maintain flexibility for weekend and holiday work based on facility needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Multi-unit experience preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Customer service mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to identify potential maintenance, safety, and fire issues.
• Ability to operate roll-up doors for storage units.
• Frequent travel to assigned stores for shift coverage and team support.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as rolling carts, ladders, cleaning materials, and roll-up doors, including reaching overhead.
• Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer and access/produce information from it.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
