Multi-Store Detective

Job Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend shoplifters with the use of standard visual practice and CCTV in multi-store environment.
• Utilize CCTV to create video records of incidents requested by law enforcement and internal departments.
• Troubleshoot, report and provide solutions for malfunctions in CCTV equipment.
• Provide testimony in court cases as required by law enforcement or court representatives.
• Report possible internal integrity issues to the assigned loss prevention representative.
• Communicate effectively with customers and law enforcement personnel.
• Perform other security and loss prevention duties to ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and Team Members.

About the Role

Store Detectives play a crucial role in serving their assigned locations by detecting and apprehending shoplifters. They utilize standard visual practices and CCTV in a multi-store environment, creating video records of incidents as needed. They also troubleshoot and report on malfunctions in CCTV equipment, providing necessary solutions. Additionally, they testify in court cases when required, report potential internal integrity issues, and communicate effectively with both customers and law enforcement personnel. Their primary duty is to ensure a safe and secure environment for all team members, guests, and products.

Requirements

• Experience Required: 0 to 1 year
• Experience Desired: Experience working in a retail grocery environment or law enforcement/security experience
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Travel Required: Regional - Daily, Less than 10%
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail or law enforcement/security, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
