About the role

This opportunity is suited to a technically capable operator with experience in well operations, gas lift systems, ESPs, three-phase separation, gas compression, pipeline operations, and control board activities. The role supports safe and efficient production by monitoring equipment performance, carrying out operational rounds, preparing for maintenance, and working closely with engineering and support teams. This position offers the chance to contribute directly to production optimisation and field operations in a hands-on operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment performance and take appropriate action to help maximise production
  • Carry out operational rounds and prepare for maintenance activities
  • Take readings, conduct rounds, issue work permits, and initiate work requests following procedures
  • Support minor maintenance activities on valves, pumps, and rotating equipment
  • Track test compression data and conduct fluid level checks using an echo meter
  • Work with support teams to optimise chemical pump rates based on production data, including corrosion, paraffin, and soap injection considerations
  • Gather data and provide operational support to engineering or support groups

Requirements

  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant operational experience at an intermediate level
  • Experience in well operations, including gas lifted wells and ESP operations
  • Experience supporting production environments involving three-phase separation, gas compression, pipeline operations, and control board operation
  • Experience preparing for and performing maintenance activities
  • Ability to work with engineering or support groups for data gathering and operational support

Skills

  • Proactive monitoring of well and equipment performance
  • General working knowledge of systems, terminology, and procedures used within the department
  • Ability to support minor maintenance activities on valves, pumps, and rotating equipment
  • Capability to track test compression data and conduct fluid level checks using an echo meter
  • Problem-solving and basic decision-making for routine technical and functional support tasks
  • Collaboration with support teams to optimise chemical pump rates based on production data

Schedule: 10 Days On / 4 Days Off (8-hour days)
