About the role

We are a top-rated handyman, repair, and remodeling company in Lakeland, affiliated with the Ace Hardware brand. We provide services for homes and businesses in Polk County, ranging from small repairs to major renovations.

Responsibilities

• Work out of your home on your choice of full-time or part-time basis
• Travel to job sites in Lakeland and nearby areas using your own truck or van (or company vehicle)
• Provide quality craftsmanship and customer service
• Manage your own schedule and earnings
• Receive benefits and performance bonuses

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and professional appearance/demeanor
• Good knowledge of carpentry, tiling, painting, drywalling, and light plumbing/electrical
• Excellent customer service skills, including communication and interpersonal abilities
• Pass a background check

Qualifications

• Successful prior track record as a Carpenter/Craftsman
• Own standard set of tools to perform all trades
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong documentation and invoicing skills
• Project estimating skills
