Job Summary
The Multi‑Restaurant Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance, repairs, and facility operations across multiple restaurant locations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on repair skills, and experience managing multi-unit operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily maintenance needs for multiple restaurant locations.
Ensure all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment are functioning properly.
Perform hands-on repairs and coordinate larger projects as needed.
Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and building systems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify issues before they impact operations.
Schedule and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Negotiate pricing, review proposals, and ensure timely, high-quality work.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets for all locations.
Track expenses, control costs, and maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
Respond quickly to urgent repairs and equipment breakdowns.
Ensure all restaurants meet local, state, and federal safety, health, and fire regulations.
Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain compliance documentation.
Lead, train, and support in-house maintenance staff.
Set performance expectations and ensure high-quality work standards.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inspections, and equipment logs.
Provide regular updates to leadership on facility conditions and improvement needs.
Work closely with restaurant managers to understand maintenance priorities.
Support upgrades and improvements that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of maintenance management experience.
2+ years managing maintenance across multiple locations (multi-unit or multi-site).
Restaurant, hospitality, or food-service maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and general construction.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
Experience using CMMS or maintenance management software.
Strong communication and team-building abilities.
Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and building codes.
