Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) - 1020 Al Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

The Save Mart Companies is currently recruiting for the position of Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) at 1020 Al Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. This role involves a variety of clerical tasks, including stocking shelves, pricing items, offloading shipments, and more.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, display, and price products
• Break down loads including unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes
• Order writing and ensuring item to tag integrity
• Report all risks or safety issues to management
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases/coolers
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Operate check stand
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas
• Know location of MSDS binder and information about materials used
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified
• May operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun
• Minimum three months of relevant experience or equivalent
• High School diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience/training

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs occasionally and up to 40 lbs frequently
• Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs/ladders, moving machinery, lifting over 40 lbs, carrying 20-40 lbs, and carrying up to 20 lbs frequently
• Ability to operate tools such as step stools, carts, registers, safety cutters, rolling ladders, food preparation equipment, ovens, warmers, food mixers, meat cutting instruments, various carts, packaging components, and cleaning supplies
• Work in temperature levels that may fluctuate depending on the specific area of the store
• Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs/ladders, moving machinery, lifting over 40 lbs, carrying 20-40 lbs, and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Use of protective equipment as needed
