The Save Mart Companies is currently recruiting for the position of Multi-Purpose Clerk - Bakery/Deli at 1761 Grant Ave., Novato, CA 94945. This role may be assigned to various departments including Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, or Janitorial.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Promote sales within assigned department
• Answer customers' questions and respond to requests for products
• Accurately place special orders
• Practice safe food handling procedures
• Maintain a clean work area, orderly, and free from safety hazards
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment and quality
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product to maintain freshness and department appeal
• May operate equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and balers

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self-motivation
• Proactive, initiative, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or equivalent
• Six months of related experience

Other

• Available to work a variety of required retail hours
• At least 18 years of age

Physical Demands

• Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis
• Requires lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance

Hiring Pay Range

$17.73 - 26.50
