Responsibilities
- Perform advanced imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images and proper evaluation of patient history and physician orders.
- Maintain documentation, adhere to quality control standards, and comply with applicable regulations and policies.
- Educate and communicate with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.
- Monitor workload, suggest process improvements, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and supervision to imaging students, foster positive relationships, and serve as a resource for colleagues.
- Stay current with industry developments, maintain certifications, and ensure compliance with laws and standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited imaging program (e.g., MRI, Radiography, Sonography).
- Minimum of one year imaging experience per certified modality.
- Valid MRT certification from Texas or equivalent, and credentialing through ARRT and/or RDMS.
- Certification in at least two imaging subspecialties such as Breast Sonography, MRI, Mammography, Radiography, or Sonography.
- Current BLS CPR certification from recognized agencies.
