This position performs all functions related to a minimum of two modalities, including CT, MRI, or Hybrid OR, in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: Radiology, CT, MRI, or Hybrid OR, in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
- Assist physicians in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing procedures according to proper protocols and within specified timeframes.
- Assist physicians with procedures as needed.
- Obtain accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history; answer patient questions and explain procedures.
- Operate equipment within specifications and obtain/evaluate images for technical quality assurance.
- Utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow for the department’s activities.
- Maintain equipment in efficient operating order; perform and document all required quality control testing.
- Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
- Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment; manage stock and inventory as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred).
- More than 10 months of clinical experience in CT, MRI, Hybrid OR, or one year of general radiology experience (2+ years in two or more modalities preferred).
Qualifications
- Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current and valid Registered Technologist (RT) license.
- National certification in specialty field (ARRT, ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, or ARRT-CT).
- Current and valid CT or MR license (preferred).
Schedule
Night shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
Pay
$15,000 sign-on bonus available.
