Multi-Modality I Technologist

About the role
This position performs prescribed medical imaging procedures in accordance with department, facility policies, and protocols. The role ensures optimal care and treatment to the patient population, working with 30 to 50 patients daily using Siemens equipment and a fluctuating worklist. The position may also assist in X-Ray as needed.
Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is a 141-bed acute-care hospital located midway between Phoenix and Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities
- Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders, using independent judgment and learned methodologies.
- Educates patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
- Demonstrates professional behavior and fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources, and quality patient outcomes.
- Produces high-quality images and prepares/presents them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
- Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
- Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoots issues, and notifies appropriate personnel.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to safety policies.
- Ensures ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including confidentiality.
- Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
- Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department policies and protocols.
Requirements
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) based on modalities in which they will be conducting work.
- State licensure by the applicable regulatory agency.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
- Must be actively working in each certified modality as required by the facility.
- Certification in two (2) or more of the following modalities: Radiologic (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Mammography, Breast Sonography, Angiography.
- At least 1 year of ARRT experience.
Employees working in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
