About the role
KSEE24/CBS47 in beautiful Fresno, California is hiring a multi-media journalist to join their team. They are looking for someone who can cover breaking news and also delve into issues through real people.
Responsibilities
- Covers breaking news and issues through interviews, investigations, and observations for all platforms.
- Describes the background and details of events and issues for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Gathers information through research, interviews, experience, or attendance at various functions.
- Ensures all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
- Interacts with viewers/users on social media.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Superior on-air presence.
- Able to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must join SAG-AFTRA union.
Pay
$45,000-$55,000 annually commensurate with experience and skill level.
