Multi-Location Customer Service Specialist

Sherwin-Williams · Montpelier, VT · 1 mo ago
Full-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and

for prose. Do NOT repeat job title as heading. Do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Remove boilerplate, navigation, legal, EEO, etc. Preserve all substantive information. Include a section only when posting has real, specific content for it. Avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". No Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. The posting includes: Job Description paragraph (prose). Responsibilities list (bullet-like sentences). Qualifications: Minimum Requirements (list) and Preferred Qualifications (list). About Us (prose). What is the Process to get Started? (steps) - but that is application instructions; we must remove application instructions. Also remove "Step 1 – Online Application", etc. Also remove benefits link? There's a mention of benefits: "At Sherwin-Williams, part of our mission is to help our employees and their families live healthier, save smarter and feel better. This starts with a wide range of world-class benefits designed for you. From retirement to health care, from total well-being to your daily commute—it matters to us. A general description of benefits offered can be found at http://www.myswbenefits.com/ . Click on “Candidates” to view benefit offerings that you may be eligible for if you are hired as a Sherwin-Williams employee." This is generic benefits description but not specific benefits. The instruction: never create Benefits section unless posting actually states them. It mentions benefits but not specific. Likely we should not create a Benefits section because no concrete benefits listed. Similarly Pay: there is a paragraph about compensation decisions and wage range but no actual numbers. It says "The wage range listed for this role takes into account..." but no actual range given. So we should not create Pay section. Schedule: not mentioned. So we will have sections: About the role (maybe from Job Description paragraph), Responsibilities, Qualifications (maybe split into Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications? Could combine under Qualifications heading with sublists? The instruction: use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have Qualifications heading and inside we can have two
lists: one for Minimum Requirements, one for Preferred Qualifications. Could also separate into Requirements and Qualifications but we have both. Probably better to have Qualifications heading and inside we can have

? Not allowed? Only headings specified are

. We could just have two
        with preceding

indicating Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications. That's fine. Also we have About Us paragraph (prose). Could be under About the role? Actually About the role is separate from About Us. The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have About the role (job description) and maybe About Us as separate? Not listed but could be included as a section if we have content. But they didn't list About Us as example; but we can still include a heading if we want, but better to follow examples. However we need to preserve all substantive information. The About Us paragraph is substantive. We could put it under About the role? Might be odd. Perhaps we create a section heading

        About Sherwin-Williams

but not in list. The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says use

for section headings (e.g. those). Likely we should stick to those headings; but we need to place About Us somewhere. Could treat it as part of About the role? Might be okay to include as a paragraph under About the role heading. However About the role is supposed to be about the role, not company. But we can still include company info under About the role heading as prose. That would preserve info. Alternatively we could add a section

        About the Company

though not in examples but still a heading. The instruction: "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." The "e.g." suggests those are examples, not exclusive. So we can add other headings as

. Safer to add About Sherwin-Williams heading. We must remove application instructions (the steps). Also remove EEO boilerplate, legal, etc. Also remove "What is the Process to get Started?" etc. We must keep location info: "The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at store 5655 at 62 River Street, Montpelier, VT 05602 and store 705094 131 South Main St. Barre, VT 05641". That's substantive; we should keep it. Where to place? Could be under About the role paragraph after job description. We must keep the sentence about criminal history review. That's substantive. We must keep the responsibilities list exactly as given. We must keep qualifications lists. We must keep About Us paragraph. We must keep the "At Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire..." paragraph. We must keep the "Life … with rewards, benefits and the flexibility..." paragraph? That's part of About Us? Actually after About Us paragraph there is: "It's all here for you... let's Create Your Possible". Then later: "At Sherwin-Williams, part of our mission is to help our employees and their families live healthier, save smarter and feel better. This starts with a wide range of world-class benefits designed for you. From retirement to health care, from total well-being to your daily commute—it matters to us. A general description of benefits offered can be found at http://www.myswbenefits.com/ . Click on “Candidates” to view benefit offerings that you may be eligible for if you are hired as a Sherwin-Williams employee." That's benefits generic; we may not create Benefits section but we can keep that prose under About Sherwin-Williams heading maybe. We must remove the compensation paragraph (since no specific numbers). Also remove the "Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered..." EEO boilerplate. Remove the "Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer..." etc. Remove the "Please be aware, Sherwin-Williams recruiting team members will never request a candidate to provide a payment..." etc. Now craft HTML. Structure:

        About the role

Check we didn't include any boilerplate. We removed EEO, legal, application steps, compensation paragraph, etc. We kept location and criminal history review sentence inside About the role paragraph. Let's write About the role paragraph: combine job description paragraph, location sentence, criminal history review sentence.
