Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 + Bonus

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Multi-Line Underwriter to take ownership of a commercial portfolio, build strong agency relationships, and play a key role in the continued development of our Commercial P&C offering. This opportunity allows you to join an established business while contributing to the entrepreneurial growth of a new platform.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business and renewals across a range of commercial P&C lines.
• Evaluate risks, exposures, loss history, and risk controls.
• Determine appropriate terms, conditions, coverage, and pricing.
• Manage and develop relationships with assigned retail agencies.
• Grow and manage a profitable book of commercial business.
• Conduct agency visits, meetings, and marketing activities.
• Work closely with senior underwriting leadership on the continued development of the Commercial P&C offering.
• Contribute technical underwriting expertise as new products and lines are introduced.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge across multiple commercial P&C lines.
• Experience with Commercial Property, General Liability, Auto, and/or other commercial lines.
• Experience underwriting both new business and renewals.
• A strong understanding of underwriting profitability and risk selection.
• Existing relationships with commercial insurance agencies.
• Strong communication, relationship management, and business development skills.
• Experience managing an assigned territory or book of business.
• Florida commercial underwriting experience preferred.
• CPCU, CIC, or another relevant industry designation is advantageous.
