Responsibilities
- Support instruction and student learning by implementing lesson plans, providing accommodations/modifications, collecting data, and working with individuals or small groups under teacher direction.
- Reinforce routines, behavior expectations, and social-emotional skills to promote student independence and uphold classroom and school-wide systems.
- Supervise students to ensure safety during all parts of the school day, including transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal.
- Collaborate and communicate professionally with lead teachers, school staff, and families to support student success and school goals.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and equity-minded practices that honor student dignity and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Provides personal and medical care as trained (e.g., toileting, hygiene, monitoring) while maintaining student dignity and safety.
- Implements intensive behavior plans and de-escalation strategies using trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate practices.
- Supports communication systems (including AAC), functional life skills, and instructional activities by proactively meeting student needs and taking initiative within daily routines.
- Remains flexible and responsive in a fast-paced MI setting, using feedback and creative problem-solving to adapt supports and continuously improve practice.
Qualifications
- Provide evidence of completing high school or a GED.
- Pass a background check.
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
- Preferred: Previous experience working with scholars with disabilities, experience working with high school students and diverse populations, CPI/NCI trained.

Pay
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $43,000 to $52,000, based on experience and qualifications.
