As a Multi-Craft Mechanic, you will operate equipment safely and independently, performing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and maintenance tasks to support our operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment such as sweepers and forklifts while practicing safe work habits, including proper moving and lifting techniques.
• Perform basic rigging (Level 1) and piping (Level 1).
• Install, repair, and maintain lighting, A/C, D/C motors, and drives.
• Select, cut, thread, and install conduit and wiring, adhering to Class 1 Division 1 & 2 electrical codes.
• Work from schematics, sketches, and manuals, and demonstrate familiarity with solid-state devices.
• Use measuring devices such as Meggers and DVOMs.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks, including wall patching and painting.
• Troubleshoot using blueprints and sketches.
• Perform at least one of the following at Level 2: welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic machining, A/C repair, or forklift repair.
• Ensure all work aligns with the Responsible Care EMS (ISO 14001) and intervene in non-conformances affecting compliance, safety, health, environment, security, or customer expectations.
• Integrate HSE&S and Responsible Care management system requirements into business processes and promote a culture of process safety and customer service.
• Participate in HSE&S programs, safety meetings, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and other related activities as required.
• Follow all MSOP and plant safety rules, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as Kevlar gloves, latex gloves, respirators, dust masks, earplugs, and Tyvek suits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school certification preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work from ladders.
• Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ability to read, interpret, and apply them.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to take verbal directions and understand written procedures.
• Familiarity with schematics, sketches, manuals, and solid-state devices.
• Experience with measuring devices such as Meggers and DVOMs.
• Understanding of Class 1 Division 1 & 2 electrical codes.
• Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing techniques.
• Experience controlling operations of equipment or systems and monitoring gauges, dials, or indicators.
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine controls to exact positions.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to assess the value, importance, or quality of tasks or situations.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Physical Demands

• Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting of 21–50 lbs; rare lifting of 51–100 lbs; never lifting over 100 lbs.
• Reaching: Occasional reaching outward, over shoulder, and over head.
• Movement: Frequent walking on normal surfaces; occasional walking on uneven or slippery surfaces; occasional climbing, crawling, kneeling, squatting, and bending.
• Postures: Frequent standing; occasional sitting.
• Driving: Occasional driving of vehicles with automatic or standard transmission.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and push lifts.
• Repetitive Motion: Occasional repetitive motion of hands and feet.
• Exposure: Occasional exposure to dangerous substances and confined spaces.
• PPE: Required use of respirators, eye protection, hard hats, boots, gloves, and Tyvek suits.
• Environment: Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential dangerous substances.

Schedule

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Onsite in Anaheim, CA). This is a union position.
