Your Role as a Multi-Classroom Teacher
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and supervise daily classroom activities in alignment with LeafSpring School philosophy
- Aid in classroom management and ensure curriculum integrity
- Provide guidance and support to substitute teachers and volunteers
- Maintain accountability and supervision of all children at all times
- Support administration with training and mentorship as needed
- Create and adapt developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Ensure materials and supplies are prepared for daily classroom activities
- Follow all infection control, safety, and licensing regulations
- Encourage healthy habits, independence, and positive social interactions
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and brand standards
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and daily activities
- Complete individualized daily reports and documentation
- Promote school events and programs
- Communicate incidents and concerns appropriately per school policies
- Support positive customer service experiences for all families and visitors
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude at all times
- Participate in school events, trainings, and special projects
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and company information
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support campus needs
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must possess a genuine love for working with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and support multiple classrooms and age groups
- Technology proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
- CPR and First Aid Certification required or willingness to obtain within six months
- Flexible schedule availability between 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM as needed
- Education and/or experience:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field with at least one year of experience
- Degree in a non-related field with a minimum of two years teaching experience in a group setting
- CDA in Early Childhood Education with at least three years of classroom experience
- Actively enrolled in coursework toward a degree or certificate in Early Childhood Education or related field
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit, stand, walk, and actively engage with children throughout the day
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Strong ability to positively interact with children, families, coworkers, and visitors
- Ability to supervise active classrooms and playground environments
