Position Summary
Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.
Responsibilities
- Obtaining vital signs
- Obtaining Blood Glucose readings
- Helping patient with mealtime feedings
- Bathing
- Patient restroom assistance and cleaning
- Ambulation of the patient
- Grooming
- Lifting, turning, and repositioning of patients in beds and chairs
- Blood draws for patient labs
- Collaborating with nurses, MDs, and other patient care specialties
- Emptying and obtaining wound or surgical drain output
- Wound or surgical incision site dressing changes
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum Experience: No prior experience is required
- Required Registration/License/Certification: BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. EAH will provide.
