This role is in support of Hill AFB, based in Layton, UT, and directly supports JSF operations by assuring the integrity of data stored within the system through maintenance of internal databases and applications.

About the role

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team, supporting both the U.S. Military and international governments. This operational support role serves an active fighter unit and may require work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, rotating shifts, and over 40 hours per week—including weekends—as dictated by mission requirements. The selected candidate will serve as the point of contact in customer discussions during flight and evaluation activities while maintaining system functionality. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access.

Responsibilities

  • Interact daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership.
  • Perform system, database, software, firewall, and account maintenance and monitoring.
  • Maintain smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier 2, and engineers.
  • Handle laptop re-imaging, troubleshooting, and account maintenance.
  • Monitor systems and applications for availability and performance.
  • Train ALIS Administrators, Mission Planning Environment Administrators, and users on the ALIS system as needed.
  • Perform COMSEC CRO duties, adhere to requirements, and train others in COMSEC.
  • Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefing and identify/resolve system shortfalls.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance or higher, with investigation within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA) within 60 days of hire.
  • IT experience in any combination of system, database, network, or mission planning administration.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access.
  • Onsite full-time work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Desired Skills

  • Troubleshooting applications and account maintenance with Active Directory, Oracle, or CRM.
  • Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases, and network equipment.
  • Virtual Machine Management (Hyper-V / VMware).
  • Maintaining and upgrading system hardware, including startup/shutdown of rack components.
  • Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration.
  • Importing/exporting large data volumes.
  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, including JSF ALIS hardware and software.
  • COMSEC experience.
  • Military flight operations and planning processes experience.
  • Experience working for or supporting the U.S. military or foreign military.
  • Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Clearance.
