MuleSoft Architect

Temporary full-time MuleSoft Architect role located in Plano, TX (75023). Hybrid work model: onsite 3 days per week. Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CT, no overtime. Estimated duration: 13 months. Hourly rate: $65.00 – $75.00.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop MuleSoft API gateway solutions to support business requirements.
• Configure and customize MuleSoft API gateway policies to meet security and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—architects, developers, and operations—to design and implement API solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on MuleSoft API gateway development best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation (design documents, user guides, release notes).
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging of MuleSoft API gateway solutions.
• Troubleshoot API Gateway issues using tools like ELK, Dynatrace, and Anypoint Monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and scalability of MuleSoft API gateway solutions.
• Stay current with MuleSoft API gateway security features, capabilities, and best practices.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users of MuleSoft API gateway solutions.
• Create API specifications using RAML or OpenAPI and implement them in MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform.
• Configure policies and security controls within the API Gateway to ensure secure, performant, and compliant APIs.
• Document technical designs, API specifications, and other relevant information.
• Collaborate with other MuleSoft developers to build reusable components and libraries.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and assist in troubleshooting MuleSoft applications.

• MuleSoft Development and DataWeave 2.0.
• MuleSoft API Manager and API Gateway Custom Policies Implementation (5 years).
• RTF Deployment Model (5 years).
• API Security: SSL, OAuth2, Threat Protection, Data Protection (5 years).
• DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitOps with ArgoCD.
• Expertise in AI coding IDE tools and building automations (5 years).
• Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, Exchange, Runtime Manager.
• RAML Specification.
• MUnit.
• DevOps: GitHub Actions, Maven.
• JMeter, Java, Azure Cloud concepts.
