MTSS Team Member - Malabar

About the Role

MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) is an instructional framework that includes universal screening of all students, multiple tiers of instruction and support services, and an integrated data collection and assessment system to inform decisions at each tier of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Work with the building administrator to identify and recommend interventions and resources differentiated by area of need for social-emotional, functional, developmental, and academic needs.
• Formally meet twice per month outside of contracted hours for a minimum of one hour per meeting, maintaining a 75% attendance rate.
• Use Mansfield City Schools MTSS Practices and Procedures to implement MTSS structure.
• Provide training for the use and implementation of interventions and resources.
• Provide feedback to TBTs (Teacher-Based Teams), BLT (Building Leadership Team), Administration, and Special Education Leadership.
• Provide a summary of services and students recommended at the conclusion of the first and second semesters to the MTSS Coordinator.

Team Composition

One team will be established per school. Recommended team members include:

• Certified Staff:
  • General Education Teacher (ELA)
  • General Education Teacher (Math)
  • Intervention Specialist
  • Support Specialist
• Administrative and/or Contracted Staff:
  • Related Service Provider
  • Building Administrator
  • Special Education Coordinator (Tier 3 only)
  • School Psychologist (Tier 3 only)
