MTS - Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team working on our cloud-native product suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, be aware of cloud-native technologies, and have a willingness to learn new technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of cloud native products and services for our Kubernetes product ecosystem.
• Learn and collaborate with the team to design and implement the product roadmap.
• Support Cloud infrastructure deployments using Platform9 products, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent programming skills in a major programming language. Python or Golang is preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in a software development role.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Prior experience with OpenStack/DevStack is also a plus.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals with willingness to learn and build products in the cloud computing and virtualization space.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Being a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cloud computing and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Skills

• Proficiency in major programming languages (Python, Golang).
