About the role

Mt Zion Prep is seeking applicants for the position of Full-Time Basketball Intern for the 2026-2027 school year. Mt Zion Prep is a private prep academy for high school and post-graduate student athletes located in Lanham MD.

This is an entry-level position where the ideal candidate will gain the experience needed to further their career in sports with a vast exposure to college coaches of all levels. The chosen candidates will assist with all aspects of our program.

Responsibilities

• Basketball Operations
• On Court Coaching Responsibilities
• Video Recording and Coordination of video exchange
• Administrative Duties assigned by the basketball staff
• Recruitment of student athletes
• Social Media (Instagram and Twitter)
• Statistician (Game by Game stats)
• Supervisor of housing (Dorm)
• On floor coaching
• Player development
• Recruiting
• Monitoring academics
• Housing supervision
• Transportation
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s Degree required with at least 3 years’ experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A strong public service orientation to work well with faculty, staff, students, and the community
• Must have a valid Driver’s License (Will be required to drive)
