MSL Cardiology

As a trusted scientific partner to leading Cardiology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals, you will drive meaningful scientific exchange and advance evidence-based patient care. In this highly visible field-based role, you will communicate complex clinical and scientific information with accuracy and credibility, helping to deepen understanding of products, therapeutic areas, and emerging data. You will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to address scientific inquiries, deliver educational insights, and support informed clinical decision-making. Internally, you will work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Commercial, and other teams, providing medical expertise and strategic input across a variety of initiatives. This role supports the Mid-Atlantic territory.

About the Business

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Responsibilities

• Per the Cardiology Medical engagement plan, interact with KOLs to communicate and advance GE’s Cardiology medical plans and initiatives.
• Communicate clinical/scientific insights as well as research concepts from KOLs back to medical affairs team members within the organization, for further evaluation. Communication is consistent with bidirectional scientific exchange; encompassing data dissemination and education, as well as the gleaning and capturing of HCP insights.
• Participate at regional and national cardiology conferences; actively contribute to conference planning, scientific session coverage, and development of scientific summaries subsequent to conferences.
• With oversight from Cardiology Medical Director/Care Area Lead, provide support to unsolicited investigator-sponsored research proposals as well as Company-sponsored research.
• Participate in identification and training of participants in the Company’s speaker’s bureau members, when applicable.
• Demonstrate full awareness of and compliance with all SOPs and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Proactively identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate action as required.
• Participate in preparation and delivery of training materials to support new and existing medical staff on diagnostic imaging agents used in Cardiology and emerging clinical evidence.
• Provide medical expertise and support to projects led by US/Canada Medical Affairs and other cross-functional projects, such as advisory boards, educational activities, and clinical study support as necessary.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, MD).
• 2+ years of Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry experience (preferably as an MSL with some experience in Cardiology, Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine).
• A proactive leader who translates strategy into timely, impactful outcomes.
• Experience delivering professional presentations through listed lectures or evidence of teaching.
• Ability to travel in excess of 70% (including some weekends).
• Must live in territory: DC, VA, NC, SC, local to a major airport.

Pay

For U.S.-based positions, the pay range for this position is $136,000.00–$204,000.00 annually. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
