About the role

Own the business value delivery and lifecycle management of core MSAT digital systems including PLM, ELN & CPV software, ensuring alignment with MSAT and GSQ priorities.

Act as the business owner and single point of accountability for these systems, defining roadmap, and value realization in partnership with DD&T and cross-functional stakeholders.

Ensure systems are fit-for-purpose, adopted, and embedded in MSAT processes, delivering measurable impact on process understanding, lifecycle management, and manufacturing performance.

Drive standardization, scalability, and integration of MSAT systems across sites and modalities to enable a consistent digital backbone for lifecycle knowledge.

How you will contribute

Own the business lifecycle of MSAT systems, including PLM, ELN, and CPV software, from strategy and roadmap through deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Act as Business Owner / Business Process Owner (BPO), defining business requirements, process design, governance models, success metrics and value realization.

Define and maintain system roadmaps and priorities, ensuring alignment with MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D business needs.

Partner with DD&T as the technical owner to translate business needs into scalable solutions, prioritize enhancements and releases, ensure compliant, robust system operations.

Drive business value realization, ensuring systems deliver outcomes such as improved process knowledge management, enhanced CPV and lifecycle monitoring, increased efficiency and reduced manual effort.

Establish and lead governance structures for MSAT systems, including demand intake and prioritization, roadmap decisions, cross-functional alignment.

Drive data and process integration across systems (e.g., PLM ↔ ELN ↔ CPV ↔ data platforms), enabling seamless lifecycle data flow and usability.

Act as the primary interface between MSAT and key stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Engineering), ensuring systems meet evolving business needs.

What you bring to Takeda

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in engineering or life sciences with ~10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in MSAT and/or process engineering.
  • Proven experience as a business owner, process owner, or product owner for digital systems.
  • Strong understanding of MSAT processes, product lifecycle management, manufacturing and quality environments.
  • Hands-on experience with systems such as PLM, ELN, CPV / process monitoring tools.
  • Experience working with DD&T in a business–technology partnership model.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, prioritization and roadmap planning, change management and adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into system solutions and drive value realization.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. For Location: Boston, MA U.S. Base Salary Range : $154,400.00 - $242,550.00

The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.

U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.

U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
