About the role

Mexican Sugar is seeking a Server to join our team. We are looking for passionate individuals who can provide exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Possess a passion for service that is comforting, effortless, warm, and always ready to assist guests.
• Know the origins, pronunciations, and ingredients of our menu items.
• Recommend the perfect drinks for any occasion, including handcrafted margaritas, red wines, and our extensive tequila selection.
• Create a loyal guest base through resort-style service that is bilingual and detailed, yet never overly formal or pretentious.
• Inspire your teammates to seek you out for assistance.
• Balance great service with efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of serving experience, preferably in high-end casual or fine dining environments.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Proficient in using knives and other kitchen equipment.
• Must have a current Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and adhere to regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.
