About the role

This position is needed to create a system to be used for statewide billing for establishments holding food, lodging, pool and tattoo permits. An existing software is end of life and due to be deprecated. The resource will be tasked with recreating the functionality of that system in Power Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline to mirror SQL data held in an AWS hosted cloud DB down to Dataverse, where the lists of active facilities can be extracted to serve as the census for establishments to be billed.
  • Create automations linked to Dynamics records that generate invoices, send them to email addresses on file, and track payments received or outstanding.
  • Integrate with PayIt to direct payees to an online payment portal via invoice emails; receive payment reports back from PayIt into Dynamics and convert them into Payment records that close associated Invoices.
  • Support payments received by check by enabling Dynamics to log checks received, submitted to the controller, and reconciled to align records with NCFS.
  • Route all invoicing communications through a case management system, logging calls and emails with relationships to associated records (Contact, Case, Invoice, etc.).
  • Develop a reporting system to analyze invoicing metrics and program performance.
  • Establish a robust Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system using three environments (Development, UAT and PROD) with synchronized guids and other components to enable seamless promotion of new functionality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in MS Power Platform development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in PowerApps, Power Virtual Agent, and Dataverse.
  • Knowledge of SQL database structure.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certification – Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or higher.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
