MS/HS Art Teacher

This position is part of the MISTAFF collaborative effort involving multiple Michigan education associations.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated educator to join a Michigan K-12 school community. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction and supporting student success in alignment with state and district goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school improvement initiatives.
• Uphold school policies, procedures, and Michigan educational standards.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for alternative certification through an approved program.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (required); advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students, preferably in the assigned subject area or grade level.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
