About the role

This full-time, on-site position based in Meadville, PA is responsible for sourcing and purchasing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and services to support manufacturing activities. The role involves evaluating and selecting suppliers, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and reliable performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders for MRO materials and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels for MRO supplies and ensure timely delivery to meet production and facility requirements.
  • Analyze usage data and procurement metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
  • Support compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, finance, and other cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with operational needs and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Strong procurement skills, including experience with MRO purchasing and general procurement processes.
  • Ability to manage and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience with supplier evaluation and vendor performance management.
  • Background in contract negotiation and securing favorable terms for goods and services.
  • Solid analytical skills for reviewing spend data, identifying trends, and recommending cost and process improvements.
  • Familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems and basic proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial supply environments is preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
