MRI Technologist - Weekend Nights

About the role

MRI Technologists perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They independently operate MRI equipment, acquire and analyze data, and ensure patient safety and proper preparation. Work is performed in a clinical setting with adherence to policies and procedures. The role emphasizes organizational priorities, teamwork, continuous learning, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information
• Prepare and position patients
• Optimize imaging protocols
• Evaluate image quality
• Ensure data transfer accuracy
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Educate healthcare providers and students
• Assist with interventional procedures
• Apply safety principles to minimize risks
• Select appropriate pulse sequences
• Participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Certifications from recognized radiology or MRI boards are required, such as ARRT‑MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB‑MR
• A graduate of a radiologic technology training program is mandatory
• Preferred bachelor's degree
