About the role
The MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technologist will assist and guide patients through MRI scans.
Responsibilities
- Assist and guide patients through MRI scans
- Use exceptional communication, technical, and patient care skills
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Work independently without direct supervision
- Utilize basic computer skills
- Adhere to sterile technique guidelines
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One of the following certifications/licenses:
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Certified Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)(ARRT)
- For MRI non-registered:
- Radiologic Technologist by the State of Indiana and ARRT(R) Registry
- Radiology Student Permit by the State of Indiana and ARRT registry eligible
- Obtain ARRT(R) registry and Radiologic Technologist License by the State of Indiana within six months
- Obtain ARRT(MR), ARMRIT or CAMRT registration within two years from 1/1/2020 or if job entry after 1/1/2020, two years from date of job entry.
