About the role

The MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technologist will assist and guide patients through MRI scans.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide patients through MRI scans
• Use exceptional communication, technical, and patient care skills
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Work independently without direct supervision
• Utilize basic computer skills
• Adhere to sterile technique guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One of the following certifications/licenses:
• American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Certified Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)(ARRT)
• For MRI non-registered:
  • Radiologic Technologist by the State of Indiana and ARRT(R) Registry
  • Radiology Student Permit by the State of Indiana and ARRT registry eligible
  • Obtain ARRT(R) registry and Radiologic Technologist License by the State of Indiana within six months
  • Obtain ARRT(MR), ARMRIT or CAMRT registration within two years from 1/1/2020 or if job entry after 1/1/2020, two years from date of job entry.
