MRI Technologist - PRN

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused PRN MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will explain MRI procedures, perform MRI scans while ensuring patient comfort, and generate high-quality diagnostic images. You will also maintain MRI equipment, report any issues, and review reports for accuracy. Additionally, you will assist X-ray technologists and providers with arthrogram injections and perform IV contrast injections when necessary to enhance imaging results.

ORA holds all staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Explain MRI procedures to patients and perform MRI scans while ensuring patient comfort
• Generate high-quality diagnostic images and review reports for accuracy
• Maintain MRI equipment and report any issues
• Assist X-ray technologists and providers with arthrogram injections
• Perform IV contrast injections when necessary to enhance imaging results
• Provide high-level patient care and maintain patient confidentiality
• Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations
• Support medical professionals in patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography
• ARRT (R) or equivalent certification, including ARMRIT
• MR certification (through ARRT) preferred
• At least one year of MRI experience preferred
• Strong understanding of customer service principles
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
• Flexibility to work at any of ORA's Imaging Center locations as needed

The pay range for this position reflects the range for all positions classified in this job grade. Individual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and alignment with company benchmarks. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
