Job Summary and Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist you will perform, and demonstrate your professional knowledge to provide care for our patients served in the Imaging department.   • Under the direction of a physician, perform MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) examinations on patients of all ages using advanced technical knowledge.
  • Perform all responsibilities with minimal supervision, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the complexities of MRI equipment and examinations.
  • Work with students and staff in teaching MRI technology.
  • Be responsible for the assessment and treatment/care for all patients, including the ability to interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs and understanding of the range of treatment needed.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
  • ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) certification
  • ARRT-R (Radiography) certification
  • Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer (RT) credential
  • Associate Degree
  • 2 years experience required
