About the role
Provides care for patients requiring MRI procedures.
Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing MRI for diagnostic procedures.
Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.
Affords assistance with inventory management and patient scheduling.
Takes backup call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage.
Responsibilities
- Performs MRI procedures under supervision.
- Ensures diagnostic quality images are produced using appropriate technical factors.
- Communicates pertinent clinical information to physicians for interpretation.
- Manages inventory and schedules patients.
- Assists with after-hours coverage as needed.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
- Completion of MRI training.
- Six months of related experience is required.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
- Completion of MRI Training.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
- Six months of related experience is required.
Skills
