MRI Technologist - Part Time Day

About the Role

Demonstrate proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures. Operate MRI equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure sufficient diagnostic information is obtained. This position may require floating to off-site locations, rotating weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
  • Ensure diagnostic-quality images are obtained for physician review.
  • Administer intravenous therapy, including contrast selection and injection.
  • Prepare and enter written documentation, such as informed consent.
  • Float to off-site locations as needed.
  • Work rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
  • ARRT/NYSDOH License required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified to perform contrast injections.
  • Specialized training in MRI Technology and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ability to sustain prolonged periods of sitting, walking, lifting, pulling, positioning, and transferring patients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MRI Certification preferred.

Special Notes

  • Travel to other locations may be required to support operational needs.
  • This position may require wearing respiratory protection, which may prohibit facial hair.
  • This role is designated as "essential," requiring availability during institutional emergencies.

Pay

$55.36 - $64.11 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Schedule

Part-time.
