MRI Technologist II PRN
Job Summary
Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed.
Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate.
Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed.
Performs all computer and PACS functions.
Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff.
Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols.
Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures.
Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotations.
Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Registration, Licensure or Certification: Currently registered as a MRI Technologist
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through the American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
Required Education or Experience: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology school or Graduate of MRI Technology program - PREFERRED: Registration, Licensure or Certification: Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Preferred Education or Experience: One year of experience in an MRI Imaging Department

What You Will Need
