About the Role
Responsible for independently operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and care across all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures accurately, including proper positioning, protocol adherence, and timely imaging for radiologist review.
- Screen patients and staff for magnet safety, obtain clinical history, and communicate safety procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and handle contrast materials within scope of practice.
- Implement emergency protocols and maintain equipment quality control.
- Document data accurately, stay updated on departmental changes, and provide training to staff and students.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent experience.
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiology, MRI, or equivalent, with BLS certification.
- Proficient in computer use, data entry, and office equipment.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and quality standards.
