About the Role

Responsible for independently operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and care across all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures accurately, including proper positioning, protocol adherence, and timely imaging for radiologist review.
  • Screen patients and staff for magnet safety, obtain clinical history, and communicate safety procedures.
  • Prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and handle contrast materials within scope of practice.
  • Implement emergency protocols and maintain equipment quality control.
  • Document data accurately, stay updated on departmental changes, and provide training to staff and students.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent experience.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiology, MRI, or equivalent, with BLS certification.
  • Proficient in computer use, data entry, and office equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and quality standards.

This non-management role reports to a supervisor and involves variable shifts within a clinical environment. The position emphasizes compassionate service, safety, and high-quality imaging.
