About the role
Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures for diagnosis and treatment, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Conducts MRI scans, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
- May need to complete additional training if not already registered.
- Operates MRI equipment and collaborates with medical staff to support patient care.
Qualifications
- Preferably experienced MRI technologists with a background in radiology or MRI departments.
- Completion of an accredited MRI program; advanced MRI certification or registry eligibility is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is a plus.
- Must pass the ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT advanced MRI certification exam within one year.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Non-registered candidates may need to complete the MIC MRI Cross-Trainer based on experience.
