MRI Technologist - FT, Days

Overview

The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS.

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, 1701 Lacey Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701

Hours/Schedule: Full-Time (36-hrs per week), Days - Thurs, Fri, Sat (3-12's)

Incentives

• Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: Provides financial support to Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. Monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to $370 per month and up to $20,000 lifetime maximum.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Preferred: Bachelor degree.

Experience

• Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Licensure/Certifications

• Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility).
• BLS Basic Life Support.
• Preferred: ARRT or ARMRIT - 1 Advanced registry (MRI).

Other Skills & Knowledge

• IV Insertion.
• Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
