MRI Technologist - Float

About the role

Operate MRI and radiology imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images for patient assessment and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, position patients, and select appropriate technical parameters for imaging.
• Perform patient screening, scheduling, and education related to imaging procedures.
• Transfer and monitor patient data, ensuring high-quality images are submitted to PACS.
• Administer contrast media or medications within scope and regulations.
• Maintain equipment functionality, report malfunctions, and uphold department cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of MRI or Radiology Technology program.
• One year of direct imaging experience.
• Credentialing from ARMRIT, ARRT, or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
• Physical ability for constant standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling.
• Proficiency in communication, attention to detail, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS-HCP, ARRT-MR, or ARMRIT.
