MRI Technologist Flex B

About the Role

This position is a floating MRI Technologist role within assigned hospitals throughout Corewell Health East (Royal Oak, Troy, Grosse Pointe, and Farmington Hills). The role is scheduled and reports to the Corewell Health East Flex Office located at the Corewell Health Southfield Center. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques.

Qualifications

• Required associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
• 2 years of relevant experience beyond staff radiographer level.

Certifications

One of the following certifications is required upon hire:

• American Registry Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Certification, or
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT Certification, or
• Radiation Therapist - ARRT Certification, or
• Radiographer (R) - ARRT Certification, or
• Sonographer (S) - ARRT Certification, or
• Sonographer (S) - ARDMS Certification, or
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist (N) - ARRT Certification, or
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Certification, or
• Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS Certification, or
• Musculoskeletal (MSK) - ARDMS Certification.

Additionally, one of the following is required within 1 year of hire:

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT Board Registry, or
• American Registry Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Board Registry.

One of the following Basic Life Support certifications is required upon hire:

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, or
• American Red Cross (ARC) BLS.
