Responsibilities
- Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures
- Acquire and analyze diagnostic data
- Prepare and administer medications per regulations
- Ensure correct patient identification
- Optimize imaging protocols
- Evaluate image quality
- Assist with interventional procedures
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers
- Apply safety principles to minimize risk
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Obtain correct orders
- Prepare patients
- Select appropriate pulse sequences
- Verify image quality
- Ensure safety
- Support licensed practitioners
- Fully proficient in routine and complex tasks, committed to departmental priorities, and engaged in process improvement
Qualifications
- Certification by ARRT (MRI), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MRI specialization
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
